One of my all time favourite places to visit here in South Africa is the one and only Madikwe Game Reserve. In May, 2024 I had the privilege of hosting one of our Madikwe Safari for a week with a group of 5 guests and in this trip report I am going to share some of the highlights sightings we had as well some photos with you that showcases the beauty of this reserve.
First, check out my video below where I talk you through our weekand share some footage from our very productive week!
So, why do I love Madikwe so much?
It's actually pretty simple - Madikwe is one of those places where you visit with an expectation of diversifying your portfolio of wildlife images. Dust & Sunset shots are always opportunities to look forward to and your ability to off road allows you to also get into unique positions for photography.
With a high density of animals and some major water holes, there is usually a lot of activity in these areas and it allows you to take your time and soak in all of your sightings which is important when out on Safari.
The best part about it is that you get to do all of this while being hosted at the exclusive Nkurru Lodge, which truly has one of the most active water holes I have ever experienced - which is perfect for time between drives (fast forward to the first minute of my video above to see what I mean!)
As you can see, we had some unbelievable moments while we were out on safari and I hope you enjoyed the updates. This is something that you could experience for yourself and if you would like to find out more about joining our waiting list, you can visit our web page for the Madikwe Safari by clicking here.
Thank you for your time and have a brilliant day wherever you may be!

Our Madikwe Safari is extremely popular and for good reason! Not only is it one of the best wildlife viewing reserves in the entirety of South Africa but this safari also works out to around $500.00 per person per night - something extremely rare in the world of Photographic Safaris.
