The prime location of our Wild Eye Mara Camp makes it possible for us to explore the banks of the Mara River at first light and puts us in the perfect position to photograph the herds of zebra and wildebeest as they build up along the river’s edge. Likewise, it affords us some additional time in the evenings before we are required to make it back to camp shortly after sunset.
We typically enjoy a packed breakfast whilst out on safari, maximising our time out in the field, before returning to camp for lunch. In saying that, there’s also the option to take a packed lunch with us as well, in order to take advantage of a full day out on safari.
Each day’s schedule will be decided in discussions with your guides and camp manager to ensure that we plan the best possible safari experience for you. Typically, the first few days of the tour will be focused on migration action, hoping to see wildebeest & zebra crossing the Mara River. Should the first few days yield the results we are after, we’ll spend additional time away from the river in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs & more.
Don’t forget about the opportunity for a sunrise balloon safari over the plains of the Mara which usually takes place in the latter half of the 7 day tour.
