Masai Mara Kicheche Conservancies Safari

A short one hour scheduled flight from Nairobi to Olare Motorogi is the perfect way to start this exciting tour as you fly over local villages and parts of the Masai Mara.

Upon arrival at Olare Motorogi we will be met by our local guide and transferred to Kicheche Bush camp, our home for the next 4 nights. Kicheche Bush Camp is ideally located in the conservancy, known for its exception game viewing, often not too far from camp.We will have time to enjoy a delicious lunch and settle into camp before departing on our first game drive. Shortly after sunset we will return to camp to enjoy a drink and dinner under the magnificent African skies.

One of our main focusses during our time here will be to spend time with Cheetah, as they have a very healthy population roaming these vast open plains.

An early start to the morning as we try and maximise the golden light and predators on the move. Our morning game drive plans will be determined by the previous evening's predator movements.

Being in the conservancy allows us the luxury of off-roading for predators allowing you the opportunity of being right up close to the action.

Every morning we will take a packed breakfast with us which we will enjoy overlooking the plains of the Masai mara, ensuring that we take full advantage of our time in the field.

As the day warm up and predator movement slows down, we will return to camp for lunch and an opportunity for you to have some quiet time, or improve your lightroom skill with the supervision of your Wild Eye guide in one of the designated media tents.

We will head out on our second safari for the day as it cools down, often following up on the morning's sightings which we feel had the most photographic potential. Shortly after sunset we will return back to camp where the wonderful hosts at Kicheche Bush camp await us before a drink and dinner is enjoyed.

With our bags packed and loaded into the vehicle we will say goodbye to Kicheche Bush Camp and slowly make our way to the Naibosho conservancy, looking out for potential photographic opportunities along the way. We will aim to be at our new home, Kicheche Valley Camp, around lunch time to allow enough time to settle in and get ready for the afternoon safari.

During lunch we will discuss our plan for the afternoon safari and find out from our local guide what has been around the past few days.

The Naibosho conservancy not only offers fantastic predator viewing, but also allows for the unique opportunity to capture some silhouette images with the rolling hills very much a part of the conservancy. In the evenings we will return to camp shortly after sunset which will give you some time to have a drink around the fire and reflect on the day before another wonderfully prepared dinner is served.

Mornings are off to an early start as we head off in search of predators on the move in morning light. Kicheche Valley Camp is ideally situated in a prime game viewing location, and most mornings and evenings lions, leopard or spotted hyaena can be heard not too far away.

With us being in a private conservancy and having our own private vehicle, there is no time limit on sightings or on time spent in the field and this will be managed on a day-to-day basis depending on animal movements and potential for sightings to evolve.

The mid days, unless animal movements dictate differently, will be spent around the beautiful Kicheche Valley Camp where you can enjoy some down time or improve your Lightroom skills in one of the dedicated areas available at camp.

As the days cool down, we will follow up on sightings from the morning, with the greatest potential in afternoon light. After sunset we will return to camp where the wonderful hosts at Kicheche Valley Camp will await us for drinks, dinner and conservation around the fire.

At a time to be advised we will board a scheduled flight bound for Nairobi. Depending on the time of the flight, there might be one more opportunity to do a short morning game drive, taking our luggage with us before making our way directly to the airstrip.

Upon arrival in Nairobi you will be met by a Wild Eye representative and transferred to JKIA airport for your international flight back home.
