Private Giraffe Manor and Maasai Mara Safari Experience

After landing in Nairobi you'll be transferred to Giraffe Manor and will have time to enjoy lunch, settle in, explore the manor gardens before your first interaction with the giraffe at afternoon tea which is served at 17:00. Dinner will then be served in the courtyard (weather depending) at 19:30.

The morning will start when the giraffe start surrounding the Manor house looking for some pellets to eat. Depending on your allocated room (based on availability) you may get the opportunity to feed the giraffe from your balcony before making your way down for breakfast. The giraffe interaction will continue in and around the breakfast room before checking out and making our way to Wilson Airport (20 to 30 minute drive).

We will check in to our safari link flight to the Masai Mara & await our departure for Kicheche Valley Camp in the Naboisho Conservancy. With its high concentration of wildlife, and low tourism density, visitors to Mara Naboisho enjoy exceptional wildlife encounters – day and night. The Conservancy is home to the big cats – in impressive numbers, as well as herds of elephant, giraffe, wildebeest, and so much more.

Upon arrival at Kicheche we will be met by our guide and transferred to our camp, where we can settle in before our afternoon activity.

Game viewing is phenomenal in the Masai Mara and we will ensure one of our main focusses will be to spend as much time as possible with wildlife. Once we return to camp where we will be met by the friendly staff at Kicheche and freshen up in the rooms before enjoying a drink around a campfire followed by dinner.

Our mornings will start off bright and early as we aim to maximise our game viewing opportunities during times when wildlife, and especially predators are most active and so a packed breakfast will be provided and enjoyed under an isolated out in the middle of the Masai Mara.

Early morning and late afternoon are the most productive hours for game drives and our safari customised 4WD vehicles give everyone a perfect view. Watching wildlife at close range, but without encroaching on their space, is endlessly fascinating and our guides’ instincts and experience provide superb photo opportunities of wild animals. We do not impose limits on our game drives and our game drives are usually extended or even full day affairs. Picnic breakfasts, lunches and sundowner drinks are popular options to include on game drives.

The vehicles used are superbly designed for photographing, all our fleet is open-sided with open roofs. Cameras can be rested on the roof, with supplied beanbags, or on the armrests lower down, to which we can mount simple platforms for larger lenses.

Your Wild Eye Private Guide will be on hand to assist with as much or as little tuition and assistance with editing as you would like, tailoring each and every day to suite your specific needs.

To maximise time in the field we will check out, and take our packed breakfast along as we depart for morning safari. Our morning activity will end at the airstrip where we will wait for our flight back to Nairobi at a time to be advised.

We will be welcomed back by a Wild Eye East Africa representative and he/she will direct us to our transfer vehicle in order to get back to our hotel and/or the international airport.
