Private Sabi Sands Experience

After landing at OR Tambo airport in Johannesburg, you will be escorted to The Intercontinental Hotel to overnight before departing for MalaMala the following day.

At a time to be advised we will board a scheduled flight from Johannesburg to the Sabi Sands.

Upon arrival we will be met by our local guide and transferred to Mala Mala main camp, our home for the next 5 nights.

After settling in and enjoying a delicious lunch, we will depart on our afternoon activity. The concession on which Mala Mala operates offers some incredible game viewing, particularly of predators including Lions and Leopard. Our time at Mala Mala will very much be focused on spending time with these predators. We have the luxury of being able to enjoy night drives during our time at Mala Mala which is a great experience, both from a photographic and animal behavior point of view.

Our mornings will start off bright and early as we aim to maximise our game viewing opportunities during times when wildlife, and especially predators are most active.

Location, Location, Location - comprising 13 200 ha (33 000 acres), MalaMala shares a 19 km (12 mile) unfenced boundary with the world-famous Kruger National Park (KNP) and lies strategically sandwiched between the KNP and the Sabi Sand Reserve. Importantly, MalaMala has 20 kms (13 miles) of Sand River frontage. This perennial river acts as a magnet for animals in this pristine wildlife area and is the foundation of MalaMala’s unrivalled game viewing and wildlife experience.

We are not at all limited to the amount of time we spend out in the field and this will purely be determined by animal movements.

We will have the opportunity to enjoy night drives which is a great opportunity to not only enjoy different animal behaviour, but also challenge yourself from a photographic point of view.

After a morning safari at Mala Mala, we will be transferred by road to Londolozi.

We will arrive at Londolozi shortly before lunch which gives us enough time to settle in before our afternoon activity.

On the banks of the Sand River in the heart of the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, Londolozi’s powerful combination of geography and wildlife creates the famous atmosphere that guests call the ‘Londolozi feeling’...

Our mornings will start off bright and early as we look to maximise our game viewing opportunities during times when predators are at their most active.

Londolozi offers incredible big 5 and general game viewing, offering you a fantastic variety of species and photographic opportunities. We are not limited to the time we spend out in the field and our return to camp largely depends on animals movements and activity.

We will once again have the opportunity to do night drives which is a great way of observing predator behaviour, looking for nocturnal species and challenge your photographic skills.

Returning to camp we will enjoy the incredible hospitality that Londolozi is known for and what forms part of the overall experience.

We will have time to enjoy our last morning safari at Londolozi before returning to camp for breakfast. At a time to be discussed we will be transferred to the local airstrip for our scheduled flight back to Johannesburg. Once we arrive in Johannesburg you will be escorted to International departures for your flight back home, or to your hotel if your flight departs later that evening.
