Upon arrival at Maun International airport our group will be met and transferred to Maun Lodge. Here the group will join for dinner to discuss the plans for next day and what to expect during the tour.

After an early breakfast at Maun lodge, we will transfer to Maun International airport for our scheduled flight to Xakanaxa airstrip Moremi, followed by a road transfer to our first camp. We will have time to settle into camp, before heading out on game drive in the afternoon. We usually return to camp shortly after sunset where we can enjoy some time around the campfire before enjoying a delicious fire-cooked meal.

With our main focus being spending time out in the field with wildlife, we will leave camp as early as possible to maximise our chances of seeing and photographing the big cats of Moremi in early morning light. We are not bound to normal lodge times, but will return to camp as the day starts heating up and most of the wildlife have moved off in search of shade. During the day you will have the opportunity to improve your Lightroom skills with your Wild Eye Guide and work on some of the images from the morning or enjoy the peace and tranquility around the camp before heading out again later in the afternoon.

We will leave our camp in Moremi early in the morning with our bags and trailers packed as we make our way to the Khwai Concession. The transfer will be more like a game drive with loads of animals to see and photograph along the way. Depending on what we see along the way we might have a packed lunch or enjoy it in our mobile camp in Khwai. The Khwai area is very well known for great sightings, especially of lion and leopard, both of which will be a focus during our time here. We will return to camp shortly after sunset and enjoy some time around the campfire in the spectacular surroundings.

Our mornings will start off bright and early as we look to head out before sunrise to maximise our chances of seeing and photographing the big cats in good light. During our time in the Khwai concession we will also have the opportunity of enjoying a Mokoro cruise, a local dug out canoe used to explore the shallow channels of the Okavango Delta. The Mokoro experience is an extremely relaxing way of enjoying the waterways with a variety of interesting things to see.

At a time to be advised we will transfer by road to Khwai airstrip for our Helicopter transfer to Beagle Expeditions Kweene trails. Once we arrive at camp we will have time to settle in and enjoy a delicious lunch.

We will head out on our afternoon activity once it cools down and will set out to explore the private concession, we find ourselves in. We will have the concession all to ourselves which is a true luxury, but can at times mean that we will have to work a bit harder for sightings.

Shortly after sunset we will return to camp to enjoy some time around a fire to share some stories and experiences.

We will look to make the most of the golden light during our time as we leave camp before sunrise to look for predators and other general game on the move.

Kweene offers walking safari's in pristine wilderness and will be a big part in our experience during our time here. You will have the unique opportunity of experiencing the Okavango Delta on ground level, with some areas not accessible by vehicle. We will also have a private vehicle at our disposal which means we are not limited to certain times on safari or in sightings and look to maximize our time spent in the field. Each day we will have the option of driving to a destination and walking from there, walking from camp, or even enjoying a mokoro canoe trip in the afternoon. The flexibility is the true attraction.

The break between game drives will provide the opportunity of showcasing your images that you have created over the past few days, as well as get the input from your Wild Eye guide on how best to edit your chosen images.

The afternoon we will focus on sightings or photographic opportunities that we haven’t had much of during the trip thus far, and will depend on what was found in the morning.After sunset return to camp and enjoy a drink around the incredible African skies, sharing some stories and experiences from the day.

At a time to be advised we will fly via Helicopter back to Maun and transferred to International departures for your flight back home, signalling the end of an incredible adventure.
