Spend 12 Nights in the most ideally located camps within Botswana, each within its own concession. An experience of all the diverse areas of Botswana with luxurious camps in these true wilderness areas. Each Concession, Chitabe, Jao and Kwedi are private concessions only accessible to guests staying in those respective regions, ensuring that you have an exclusive safari experience.
Finally, you’ll spend 3 nights on board a Houseboat exploring the Chobe River. As you drift down the Chobe River and spot incredible wildlife scenes, you’ll be able to completely relax in an intimate river safari experience. With only a small number of guests per boat, a stay on board the Chobe Princess is like being on your very own houseboat.

Day 1
Arrival in Maun and Fly to Chitabe Camp
Arrival in Maun Airport and connect onto charter flight to Chitabe airstrip. On arrival you will be met by your guide form camp who will transfer you to camp. On arrival at the camp, you will check in and make your way to your room. There will be time to freshen up before heading out on your afternoon drive.
Day 2-3
Daily Safari Activities
Chitabe Camp is situated in a private concession area on an island in the south-east of the Okavango Delta. Playing host to a breath-taking mosaic of wooded, wetland and grassland habitats, the area is famed for its incredible numbers and diversity of wildlife, in particular predators.
Each day will start a wake up and coffee with rusks which will be served, a quick discussion regarding the morning drive and activities will also take place. We will then head out on the game vehicle for our first early morning game drive.
Breakfast and lunch will be served upon our return by an afternoon siesta. We will then head out on our second game drive of the day before dinner.
Dinner will be served, and a nightcap can be enjoyed before settling in for the night. Guided walks are also available at Chitabe as well as scenic helicopter trip.
Day 4
Flight from Chitabe to Jao Airstrip & Jacana Camp
After completing your stay at Chitabe Camp, you will be taken to the airstrip for your short charter flight to Jacana Camp. On arrival you will be greeted by your respective guide who will take very good care of you and transfer you to the Camp. Keep your eyes open on the drive for anything that might catch your attention. On arrival at the Camp, you will be checked in and shown to your room. There will be time to freshen up before heading out on your afternoon sunset activity.
Day 5
Water Based Activities at Jacana Camp
Being a ‘water camp,’ Jacana Camp offers primarily water activities with game drives during the summer months – dependent on water levels and time of year.
Glide seamlessly along the waterways of Jacana in a mokoro (a traditional dug-out canoe and spot some of the small fascinating creatures of the Delta – maybe even hippo and crocodile – as well as the wealth of waterbirds of the region.
Trips in 9-seater and 8-seater boats in the waterways to the east of camp allow for good game viewing in the channels further away.
Day 6
Flight from Jao to Little Vumbura Camp
After your morning activity and a delicious breakfast, you will fly to Vumbura Plains Camp – a quick and scenic plane ride from Jacana Camp and the Jao Concession. Little Vumbura is situated in the Kwedi Concession in the Okavango Delta – an inimitable camp that offers both land and water experiences.
Days 7-9
Daily Safari Activities at Little Vumbura
Little Vumbura lies in an area that is a mix of water and dry land. The Wildlife is diverse so that both land and water activities on vehicles, mekoro and boats, deliver an all-round African safari experience. Vumbura is home to a mix of wildlife from water-loving lechwe that reside in the wetland areas to the rare sable antelope found grazing in the dry savannah. All year-round predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah can be seen.
After waking up and enjoying coffee with a light breakfast you will depart each morning on your game drive. A coffee stop will be included in your morning drive. Guided boat trips (seasonal) are also available. Upon return you will sit down for a tasty brunch. There will then be time to relax until afternoon tea. A beautiful sunset game drive in this beautiful part of the Linyati region will be enjoyed, also including a stop for sundowners. Scenic Helicopter trip are also available, and these can be included in your itinerary.
Returning to camp, you can freshen up or meet for drinks, followed by dinner and thereafter, perhaps enjoy a nightcap before heading to your room for the evening.
Day 10
Flight from Little Vumbura to Savuti
After a memorable stay at Vumbura Plains camp and enjoying breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your scenic charter flight to Linyati airstrip. On arrival at the airstrip, you will be met by your guide for your game drive transfer to Savuti camp. Keep your eyes peeled for any wildlife popping out.
Day 11-12
Daily Safari Activities at Savuti
Savuti Camp is situated in the private Linyanti Concession along the Savuti Channel, famous as a sporadic and unusual watercourse. As part of a natural cycle, the waters of the Savuti either flow strongly – a magnet for thirsty wildlife – or recede to leave behind a rich grassland. Regardless, both plains game and predators thrive, and exploring the length of the Channel and its associated woodlands is thus a highlight here.
After waking up and enjoying coffee with a light breakfast you will depart each morning on your game drive. A coffee stop will be included in your morning drive. Upon return you will sit down for a tasty brunch. There will then be time to relax until afternoon tea. A beautiful sunset game drive in this beautiful part of the Linyati region will be enjoyed, also including a stop for sundowners. Guided boat trips (seasonal) are also available. Returning to camp, you can freshen up or meet for drinks, followed by dinner and thereafter, perhaps enjoy a nightcap before heading to your room for the evening. We also recommend the star bed sleep out for 1 night when staying 3 nights or more.
Day 13
Flight from Savuti to Kasane and onwards to the Chobe Princess
Your time in Botswana will conclude after your morning drive and breakfast, your bags will be collected, then you will have the opportunity to greet the staff and camp for your transfer to the airstrip for your flight Kasane, where you connect to boarding the Chobe Princess.
Dependant on your time of arrival you will either have lunch or late afternoon selection of snacks. Once all our guests have boarded in the late afternoon, and if the weather permits, you will go in search of some big game. This is the perfect time of day to make the most of that golden glow of the African sunset by getting some iconic shots of the animals as they gravitate towards the river before night falls.
Day 14-15
Daily Safari Activities in Chobe
Whether you choose your coffee early morning or prefer to lie in a little bit the options of activities are flexible in choosing your activity. Perhaps you want to enjoy a water-based safari or a village tour on the Namibian side of the river? Or perhaps you’d prefer a spot of bird watching or fishing instead? Or for the more adventurous a walking tour to a 2000-year-old baobab tree? You may even decide to simply remain on board as the Chobe Princess houseboat glides its way along the banks of the Chobe River. Lunch will be served on board while using your unique vantage point to spot wild animals and drink in the expansive views. Join our guide in the afternoon for a water-based safari on a tender boat where you can get up close to an array of wildlife, including some of the 120 000 elephants for which the Chobe is well known. After a delicious dinner, settle down for a restful and tranquil night in your cabin.
Day 16
Return to Kasane
Enjoy a hearty breakfast as you cruise while doing your last animal spotting. Bid farewell to the crew and then make your way via boat to the Namibian Immigration Office. Once you’ve had your documents stamped, you’ll be transferred via boat to the Kasane Immigration Office where you’ll have your documents stamped once again before entering Botswana.
