YOUR SAFARI EXPERIENCE

FULL DAY DRIVES
The option to enjoy full-day drives is central to your safari adventure at our camp. Our fleet of custom 4×4 Toyota Land Cruisers is specifically designed for optimal wildlife viewing and photography. Each vehicle features pop-up roofs for elevated perspectives, detachable windows for unobstructed views, and ample space to move around comfortably. With seating limited to four guests per vehicle, there's plenty of room for camera gear and personal items. Onboard power points keep your equipment charged, while electric coolers ensure icy refreshments all day.

HOT AIR BALLOON SAFARIS
Guests have the optional extra to experience the Masai Mara from above, with a thrilling hot air balloon safari. Soar over the plains at sunrise, capturing breathtaking views of the vast landscapes and wildlife below. The one-hour flight concludes with a champagne breakfast on the open plains. Afterward, your Wild Eye guide will collect you for more safari adventures. This unforgettable experience can be booked directly with the Wild Eye office and is an ideal add-on feature to our standard the 6-night tour.

Maasai Cultural Evening
Immerse yourself in the vibrant traditions of the Maasai during a dedicated cultural evening. Enjoy songs, dances, and a meal prepared in your honour as our Maasai team shares their rich heritage. This authentic experience offers a deeper connection to the culture and history of the Mara, creating lasting memories of your stay.

OUT OF AFRICA BREAKFAST
Enjoy a magical breakfast on the Oloololo escarpment, overlooking the expansive Masai Mara plains. This iconic location, featured in the movie “Out of Africa,” provides breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Savor a freshly prepared meal by our chefs as you soak in the scale and diversity of the Mara's stunning ecosystem, making this experience truly unforgettable. This experience may shift in its location depending on where the migratory herds and big cat action is taking place.

PHOTOGRAPHIC GUIDES
Every Wild Eye Mara Camp safari is hosted by a professional photographic guide (two on our Great Migration Safaris). Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned photographer, our guides provide expert assistance and valuable insights to enhance your skills. With their extensive experience in guiding in Africa’s top lodges and camps, they ensure your safari is as rewarding outside the lens as it is through it.

BUSH DINNER
One evening during your stay, you’ll be treated to a memorable bush dinner beneath a starry African sky. Share stories of your day’s adventures with fellow guests as you enjoy a unique dining experience combining South African “Braai” and Kenyan “Nyama Choma” traditions. This under-the-stars feast is a culinary and cultural highlight of your Wild Eye Mara Camp experience.
YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
The adventure begins with a morning transfer from your hotel to Nairobi’s domestic Wilson Airport for your scenic flight into the Masai Mara. Landing in the heart of the Mara Triangle Conservancy roughly 45 minutes later, the plan is usually to meander to camp for check in & orientation followed by some lunch. We then ready ourselves for an afternoon safari, before returning to camp shortly after sunset, where fireside drinks & a memorable first dinner awaits.DAY 2 - 6
Regardless of whether you are joining our Great Migration Safari or Mara Experience Safari, the prime location of the Enkishui Camp makes it possible for us to explore the Mara Triangle at first light, and often allows us to spend some additional time out in the evenings, before having to return shortly after sunset. Typically we enjoy a packed breakfast whilst out on morning drive, maximising our time out in the field, before returning to camp for lunch. In saying that, there is also the option to take a packed lunch with us, to take advantage of the opportunity for a full day out on safari. Each day's schedule will be discussed with you by your guide & camp manager to ensure that we plan the best possible safari experience for you. There is also the opportunity for a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the plains of the Mara which typically takes place in the latter half of the 7-day tour.DAY 7
Following a shorter game drive on the last morning, guests will return to camp for the opportunity to freshen up before making our way to the Mara Serena airstrip for the return flight to Nairobi (departing circa 10:45). Upon arrival in Nairobi (approx 45 min flight) a short transfer will take the group back to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (or to the appropriate hotel if a day room has been booked), where the safari itinerary officially comes to an end. Onward international travel suggestions can be provided by our office on request.

A safari in Africa had been on my bucket list since university 30 years ago. I had high expectations of the trip but they were surpassed and this became the trip of a lifetime. Happy to recommend the Wild eye Mara Safari to anyone who wishes to do such a holiday.
