Safari drives at Londolozi are taken by professional, passionate, and knowledgeable rangers and trackers, who have 350 years of experience between them. With over 16,000 hectares of traversing wilderness, no two game drives are ever the same.
In today’s safari practice, rifles have been replaced with cameras, and the only shooting done is to photograph the majesty of animals, birds, and trees. Londolozi’s rangers specialize in photographic safaris and, where possible, will position the vehicle for guests to get the best angle for photography. They will also share advice and knowledge where they can so you can capture the moment in all its glory.

The famous Jungle Book character Mowgli was a wolf-befriending boy from the tribal village of Pench. If Mowgli could enliven his escapades, Pench tree lodge would be his time warped home in 21st century. Our well-appointed tree houses and luxury cottages are nestled in the undisturbed 16 hectares of forested area in the small ‘Sarrahiri’ village of Pench Tiger Reserve in the Karmajhiri area. This is the first lodge to be set up in this underdeveloped zone and supports our conservation policy of not overcrowding areas and making them unsustainable with over exposure to tourism.
At Pench you have the option of staying in one of the six tree houses which are carefully positioned in the canopy of the Mahua trees, or in one of the six luxury cottages. Both options come with a fully air conditioned room as well as charging facilities and coffee and tea stations with amenities.

By far the most popular activity at Pench is the Jeep safaris which are used to enter Pench National park to look for the elusive tiger as well as a variety of other mammal and bird species found in central India. For the avid birder there is a great variety of birds around the camp and waterholes which can be explored with the company of an experienced naturalist on foot or by bicycle.
Pench National Park is located in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, is the 19th Project Tiger Reserve, and has been one of the best-kept secrets among wildlife enthusiasts who have long been acquainted with and bedazzled by its immensely varied flora and fauna. No wonder the area is providing a backdrop for its animal character dominated by a fairly open canopy of mixed forest, predominantly teak, with open grassy patches.

Its unique location ensures that it is close enough for an easy access to the park, but still far enough from the busy tourism hub of Kanha National Park to offer its guests a true wilderness experience.
Kanha Earth Lodge offers twelve luxury bungalows with spacious verandas which offer unhindered, stunning views. Inspired by traditional Gond architecture, the cottages have been meticulously designed using locally available materials such as mud plaster, stone, terracotta tiles, rough-hewn timber beams. Being ideally located close to the gates, you are able to access the park shortly after sunrise. There are options of doing full day safaris which need to be arranged prior, where a packed breakfast and lunch is carried with you and then returning back to the lodge shortly after sunset.
