Mid-Year Safari Highlights

As I am half way through my 2023 safaris, I decided to write this very short blog for all of you to show off my mid-year safari highlights.

It truly is a beautiful thing for mind, body, and spirit to take some time daily for reflection. Since everything is a reflection of our minds, everything can be changed by our minds - #ExploreMore.

Initially I wanted to share only three images from each safari that I've hosted this far in 2023. After some more time spent reflecting, I felt this was just not enough to give you an accurate idea on what the experience is all about.

That said, my year has not been all too busy travel wise but the four safaris I have hosted have been absolutely amazing! Here are a few image galleries (running in order) to highlight what my guests and I got to experience on each trip.

Best of the Serengeti

During the months of February & March each year, the southern Serengeti is the calving grounds for the great migratory herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle.

The predatory action surrounding the event is like no other and will offer you some of Africa’s best lion and cheetah viewing.

This 13 day tour presents to you one of the best & most diverse offerings that we have here at Wild Eye - DO NOT MISS OUT!

The Lower Zambezi is a destination where you simply get lost in its beauty. It offers a great variety of activities from exploring the breathtaking forests, to canoeing down the mighty Zambezi river.

It’s perhaps on of the most underrated parks in Africa!

Gorilla trekking has been described by many as a life-changing experience and is certainly one of Africa’s bucket-list encounters with nature.

Time spent in the company of Uganda’s great apes will simply never be forgotten. It’s life changing in every way.

Madikwe

Join us in Madikwe

Towering rocky outcrops, red sands, open grasslands and large waterholes drawing animals for a drink during the intense Madikwe heat, all form part of the exciting experience on offer at this malaria-free Big 5 safari destination

It’s often thought that it is simply not possible for one safari destination to “have it all” and perhaps this statement is indeed true. That said, the diverse and wildly dynamic fauna and flora of Madikwe Game Reserve is about as close as it gets.

Recent Madikwe trip report

In this trip report, Trevor showcases just how immersed in the enchanting beauty of the reserve you can get.

From open plains to rocky outcrops, and meandering rivers to dense bushveld, every corner holds the promise of a remarkable encounter with nature's most majestic creatures.

That pretty much sums up my mid-year safari highlights.

It is just so impossible to showcase just what each safari holds. As I so often say, it is something you will only truly understand once experienced.

Speaking of, if you are thinking of planning an unforgettable adventure with us, please feel free to reach out and I will be more than happy to assist.

Until then, stay safe and stay happy!
