YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
Depart Johannesburg on a scheduled flight that lands in Skukuza Airport, Kruger National Park. Here you'll be met by a Sabi Sabi transfer and taken to Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge. This road transfer to camp is approximately 1 hour in total. Your Wild Eye guide will meet you upon your arrival in camp. After checking in to Sabi Sabi Bush Lodge & a short briefing, you can enjoy lunch and settle in to your room, before departing on afternoon game drive. The game drive will start in the late afternoon and will continue in to the evening.DAY 2-4
The days will start early with a wake-up call 30 minutes prior to meeting for coffee & tea. We'll aim to leave at first light (approx. 05:15). The first 2 hours in the morning is best for predator activity & we'll focus on exactly that. As the morning progresses and the day heats up, the focus will shift to elephants, buffalo, rhino and a variety of other wildlife. Every day is a little different and we may find predators active later into the morning, so the above-mentioned is merely a guideline for what's to be expected. There will be coffee and some light snacks on board so we'll enjoy that halfway through morning safari. Arrival back at mid-morning to and enjoy a full breakfast, after which you can choose to siesta, enjoy a spa treatment or catch up with your guide regarding some photography & editing tips & tricks. After lunch is a good time to catch up on some rest. We'll enjoy an afternoon safari activity, traditionally departing camp around 15:30 after enjoying some delicious afternoon tea & treats in camp. We'll be on the lookout for some great photo opportunities in the late afternoon light and the plan would be to spend the last light with a predator such as a lion or leopard. On this safari we can spend the evening after dark with the big cats and follow them on the move & on the hunt. We'll enjoy photography by means of spotlight, a fantastic and unique experience. We'll return to camp between 7 and 8 pm and enjoy dinner together.DAY 5
After a full morning safari we'll return to camp for breakfast. There will be a quick opportunity to pack after breakfast but packing is best done the night before. After breakfast we'll depart by road for Mala Mala, only 30 minutes away. Settle in to camp after induction & join for lunch should you feel the need. The game drive will start in the late afternoon and will continue in to the evening.Day 6-9
The day's on safari at MalaMala will closely mirror those spent at Sabi Sabi as far as daily activities and times are concerned.Day 10
After a full morning safari we'll return to camp for breakfast. There might be a quick opportunity to pack after breakfast, pending the time of your departure flight. Packing is best done the night before to save you time on the day of departure. After breakfast we'll depart by road for Skukuza Airport. It's about a 45 minute drive away across the property. Board your return flight to Johannesburg and upon arrival, it'll signal the end of this exciting safari experience.
