Take your Best of the Serengeti tour to the next level with some amazing extensions to explore more of Tanzania's highlights. Spend some time in Arusha, the perfect starting point for your adventure, and visit the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, often called the "Eighth Wonder of the World." You can also head to Lake Manyara, known for its beautiful scenery and tree-climbing lions, or explore Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Each extension gives you a chance to dive even deeper into Tanzania's incredible wildlife and landscapes.

YOUR ITINERARY

  • DAY 1

    Arrive in Kilimanjaro International Airport, followed by a short transfer to Airport Planet Lodge for overnight accommodation, in preparation for the start of the safari the following day.
  • DAY 2

    Scheduled flight to Ndutu, transfer to Nasikia Mobile Camp. Afternoon Game drive in the Ndutu region.
  • DAY 3-6

    Full days in Ndutu. You'll be out on game drive before sunset every morning. Each day will have a different plan as you explore the open plains, woodlands, lakes and more surrounding your camp. Some of the days will be spent out in the field with breakfast & lunched packed with you. Typically return to camp just after sunset for drinks around the fire and a hearty African dinner.
  • Day 7

    After a full morning safari in Ndutu you'll depart for your next destination - Namiri Plains. It's in the open plains north & east of Ndutu and home to open grasslands & incredible rocky outcrops, iconic landmarks of the Serengeti. The drive will take you via Seronera & then onwards to our next camp, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening. Enjoy dinner & drinks together.
  • Day 8-11

    Full days in Namiri Plains. We’ll be out on game drive before sunset each day as we explore this incredibly scenic region of the Serengeti. A key focus will be to find lions atop the rocky outcrops, also known as kopje’s. They frequent these boulders which makes for great photographic encounters. There’s also a thriving cheetah population here & this will also be a focus whilst in Namiri Plains.
  • Day 12

    After a morning safari activity with bags packed, you'll head towards Seronera Airport and board a flight directly back to Kilimanjaro. This is where this safari ends.
Tanzania - Endless plains and incredible wilderness
Arusha - An hour drive away from Kilimanjaro International Airport and the perfect place to spend the first night of this incredible itinerary.
The Serengeti & Ndutu - There are few regions in Africa that have featured in as many nature documentaries. One of the most spectacular national parks, the world over.
