YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be welcomed by a representative from Airport Planet Lodge who will assist you with your transfer to Lodge. Located just a short drive from the airport, this comfortable lodge offers a peaceful environment where you can unwind after your journey. Settle into your accommodations and get a good night's rest in preparation for your safari adventure.DAY 2
After breakfast at the lodge, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for a scenic morning flight to Kogatende Airstrip, located in the heart of the Northern Serengeti. Upon arrival, your safari guide will greet you and take you on a short game drive en route to Olakira Migration Camp, your accommodation for the next several nights.DAY 2 - 8
Spend the next six days on a thrilling safari exploring the vast landscapes of the Northern Serengeti, one of the best regions to witness the Great Migration. Your experienced guide will lead game drives, tracking the movement of massive herds of wildebeest and zebras as they navigate the treacherous Mara River crossings, often pursued by crocodiles and big cats. Beyond the migration, the Northern Serengeti is home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, leopards, and a variety of bird species. Each day brings new and unforgettable encounters, with opportunities for morning and afternoon game drives, bush meals, and breathtaking sundowners in the wild.DAY 8
After a final breakfast at Olakira Migration Camp, you will bid farewell to the Serengeti and take a scheduled flight from Kogatende. Your next destination depends on whether you are continuing your safari in the Masai Mara or returning home:
• Return Home: If you are concluding your journey, your flight will take you directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where you will connect to your international flight home.
• Masai Mara Extension: If you have chosen to extend your safari to the Masai Mara in Kenya, you will fly from Kogatende to Tarime Airstrip (near the Kenya-Tanzania border). From there, you will go on a cross-border shuttle transfer to Migori Airstrip in Kenya, where you will board a short flight to the iconic Masai Mara, continuing your adventure.
