Over the course of seven nights on our Gorongosa Photo Safari guests will follow a thoughtfully curated itinerary that blends classic safari game drives, unique conservation experiences, and behind-the-scenes access to one of Africa’s most inspiring ecological restoration projects. Daily game drives form the core of the adventure, providing immersive access to Gorongosa’s diverse landscapes—from floodplains and woodlands to seasonal lakes. A highlight of the journey is the opportunity to accompany the Pangolin Guardians as they walk alongside rescued pangolins during their daily foraging in the wild!

  • DAY 1

    Fly from Johannesburg to Beira, Mozambique, then board a Safari Air flight to Chitengo in Gorongosa National Park. Transfer to Chicari Camp, which will serve as our base for a week of exciting exploration.
  • DAY 1 - 7

    Daily game drives form the core of the adventure, providing immersive access to Gorongosa’s diverse landscapes—from floodplains and woodlands to seasonal lakes. These excursions offer the chance to observe the park’s recovering populations of lion, elephant, wild dog, and various antelope species, in a setting where wildlife is steadily reclaiming its territory. There are a number of highlights along the way, such as full day "explorer" game drives and the oppotunity to accompany the Pangolin Guardians. Each day promises an incredibly immersive experience in one of Africa's newest conservation success stories!
  • DAY 8

    Enjoy a morning game drive before returning to Beira for your flight back to OR Tambo International Airport.
