This exclusive tour combines the Kwedi and Vumbura Concessions, placing guests in two private areas in the heart of the Okavango Delta. With fewer vehicles in operation—never more than three per sighting—guests enjoy a more intimate and undisturbed wildlife experience. The opportunity to venture off-road enhances the adventure, allowing for closer encounters with wildlife. Local guides, intimately familiar with their areas, bring a wealth of knowledge and passion, offering unparalleled insight into the delta’s unique ecosystem.
Our travel team is happy to arrange any pre- and post-safari extensions to complement your Botswana tour. Popular options include the expansive Central Kalahari, the striking Makgadikgadi Pans, the wildlife-rich Chobe National Park, or the iconic Victoria Falls. Whether you’re seeking further adventure or a relaxing escape, we can tailor an extension to suit your interests, ensuring a seamless and unforgettable travel experience.

YOUR ITINERARY

  • DAY 1

On arrival at Maun Airport and after clearing customs and immigration, you will be met and assisted by a Wilderness Safaris representative to your light aircraft for your onward circuit air transfer to Chitabe Lediba Camp. After settling in & lunch we’ll depart for an afternoon safari activity.
  • DAY 2 - 4

Full days on safari at Chitabe Lediba Camp. We will leave camp at first light and enjoy a packed breakfast out in the field, returning to camp around midday, before heading out for an afternoon game drive, returning after sunset.
  • DAY 5

After morning safari we’ll depart for the airstrip and board a flight to our next destination, Little Vumbura. Here we’ll settle in & after lunch enjoy an afternoon safari activity.
  • DAY 6 -8

Each day will start early as we depart camp before sunrise. The point of this is to make the most of the incredible light & also of predator activity during the cool of the morning. There will be two safari activities daily. The area is rich in both water & land habitat and as a result, a wide variety of life exists here.
  • Day 7 and 8

A slight deviation from our usual morning routine as the group will be split into two with two guests enjoying scenic helicopter flights over the Okavango Delta at sunrise. These flights are done with the doors removed to provide the best possible photographic opportunities and timed for just after sunrise to work some of the best possible light. Guests not flying will continue on their normal morning drive as usual before linking up with the helicopter at the end of the flying time.
  • DAY 9

After a morning safari we’ll depart camp for the airport and fly back to Maun. Upon arrival in Maun this safari experience comes to an end.
