YOUR ITINERARY
DAY 1
A morning road transfer from Johannesburg will see an arrival at Nkurru Private Lodge, Madikwe Game Reserve just in time for a delicious lunch. Lunch is usually followed by a brief camp induction and some time with your Wild Eye guide.Thereafter guests head out on the first afternoon game drive which will officially kick off our Madikwe safari. Returning to the lodge shortly after dark, we'll be met with drinks, dinner and conversation around the fire place.DAY 2 - 6
Each day starts off early with coffee and rusks on the deck, and a quick discussion regarding the day’s goals and activities. We will then head out on early morning game drive. We are not restricted by any lodge schedules and have complete flexibility in terms of the duration and focus of our drives. Breakfast and lunch will be served upon our return to the lodge, followed by ad-hoc Lightroom editing sessions and presentations on any questions and techniques the group may want to explore in more detail. Enjoy one on one time with your guide or enjoy some downtime in your luxury room. We will then head out on our second game drive of the day in the afternoon. We’ll likely focus on animals at waterholes, or follow up on predators found on the morning safari. Game drive will continue into the early evening as we search for nocturnal animals under spotlight. Dinner will be held around an open fire overlooking the waterhole. Watch as shy animals come in to the waterhole for an evening drink. Should any guests wish to talk through some of the photographs from the day, this could be done before or after dinner.DAY 7
The last day will start much the same as the others. Coffee and rusks followed by a full morning safari. Upon returning to the lodge there will be time to pack and to enjoy a later breakfast together. Departure from the lodge will be no later than 11:00am, signalling the end of this wonderful safari experience.
