THE LOWER ZAMBEZI

AN INCREDIBLE SAFARI DESTINATION

I’ve been fortunate to travel to many incredible destinations around the world, but the Lower Zambezi is, without a doubt, my favourite. You might wonder, “Mike, how can you possibly narrow it down to just one place?” For me, the answer is simple: if I could only return to one safari destination for the rest of my life, this is the place I’d choose, time and time again.

There’s something about the Lower Zambezi that just feels right. Maybe it’s the calm of the river winding its way through the park or the vast spaces within the Winter thorn forests. Or perhaps it’s how the quiet moments, like the call of a fish eagle or the gentle splash of water from a hippo, seem to say more than words ever could. Whatever it is, this place has a way of drawing you in!

We host a spectacular photo safari to this region? Be quick, there are limited spaces!

Join us for a wildlife photography safari in the Lower Zambezi, where adventure and photography come together for a memorable experience. Explore the stunning landscapes of the Zambezi through canoe safaris, walking safaris, and boat cruises, each offering a close-up look at the park's wildlife. Stay at Kutali and Chula camps, which offer a simple yet perfect location, putting you right in the heart of nature. This safari gives you the chance to capture the beauty of one of Africa’s most scenic and underrated parks, all while enjoying a true wilderness experience.

It’s one of the few places where you can canoe past elephants, hippos, and crocodiles along the Zambezi.
The Zambezi River offers some of the best catch-and-release fishing for tiger fish.

The Lower Zambezi is a place that holds a special place in my heart, and I’m sure it will capture yours too. Whether you’re exploring the river by canoe, spotting wildlife on a game drive, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere, this park offers an experience that’s hard to find anywhere else. With its natural beauty, incredible wildlife, and sense of calm, the Lower Zambezi truly stands out as my favorite safari destination. If you ever get the chance to visit, I have no doubt it will leave a lasting impression on you, just as it has on me.

Until next time,

The idea of exploring remote and untouched areas along with guests who are hungry to learn, truly excites me. I strive to share my passion with guests and expose them to a level of appreciation for the big moments, small moments and everything in between.
