TRIP REPORT: PREDATORS OF SOUTH LUANGWA
The Best of South Luangwa tour this year delivered once again, like it always does. This trip, which takes place during the month of September/October which is considered the dry season, is an absolute dream for wildlife photographers, especially if you love predators.
South Luangwa National Park in Zambia is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts and wildlife lovers. Tucked away in the eastern part of the country, this pristine wilderness offers an unparalleled safari experience.
Our safari started off with two nights in the Mfuwe sector before making our way to Kaingo for four nights and then ending off in the Nsefu sector for the last three nights. Each of these sectors offer something different and unique which allows you to not only see different landscapes, but also different individual animals.Â
There were so many amazing sightings to choose from including eleven individual leopards, a pride of lions on a buffalo kill, tiny lion cubs and two packs of african wild dogs.
If you haven't been to South Luangwa yet, I would highly recommend it.  It is an absolute treasure and a haven for predators.
Until next time,
Nature and the outdoors is something was instilled in me from a very young age, having grown up close the Kruger National Park. Most weekends were spent either visiting this iconic park looking for certain bird and mammal species or fishing at any given opportunity.Â
