The MalaMala Photo Safari affords guests the opportunity to spend extended periods of time in a sighting, allowing for in-depth exploration and the chance to capture every moment without the rush of a typical schedule and additional pressure from other vehicles. Night and spotlight photography provides a rare opportunity to photograph nocturnal wildlife, including predators like lion and leopards, creating dramatic and intimate shots in the dark. Access to several kilometres of the Sand River, a vital water source in the dry season, becomes a hotspot for wildlife such as elephants, buffalo, and predators, offering prime photographic opportunities against a stunning river backdrop. These elements come together to create a perfect setting for capturing the rich diversity and raw beauty of the African bush.
The MalaMala Photo Safari offers excellent travel extension options, including visits to other private reserves within the Sabi Sands like Londolozi and Singita, each providing unique wildlife experiences and prime photography opportunities. For a change of pace, guests can explore Cape Town, renowned for its stunning landscapes, iconic Table Mountain, and vibrant culture. Beyond South Africa, Johannesburg serves as a hub with flights connecting to an extensive range of destinations across Africa, including the Okavango Delta in Botswana, Namibia's deserts, and Victoria Falls. Travelers can also visit Zambia for wildlife safaris, Uganda for gorilla trekking, and explore the iconic safaris of Kenya and Tanzania, or experience the unique wildlife of Rwanda. These extensions offer a seamless way to tailor a multi-destination adventure across Southern and East Africa.

SUGGESTED EXTENSIONS

South Africa
Johannesburg - The financial capital of South Africa and home to the largest airport in the country. Many of our guests arrive her and overnight prior to their safari.
Cape Town - The Mother City is one of the most spectacular cities on the planet and well worth an extension to your journey. With a fully-fledged international airport, many of guests fly in and out from here.
MalaMala - In existence since 1927, this incredible tract of land is the blueprint for the African luxury safari with incredibly dense predator numbers and stunning lowveld bush.

We have been in the business of helping travellers discover the wild world since 2011. From the seemingly never-ending plains of east Africa to the awe-inspiring rivers and wilderness of southern Africa. From the snow-capped peaks and frozen oceans of the Arctic to the humid and hot jungles of the Indian sub-continent.

This is Wild Eye.
