Madikwe Trip Report

I recently returned from a fantastic week long scheduled safari at Madikwe in the North West province of South Africa. Of course, lots of photos were taken, so I thought why not put together a trip report video for you all to watch. I hope you enjoy the images and the stories that go with them and sorry in advance for my mug making an appearance every once in a while.

I hope you enjoy!

Please feel free to post any comments or questions you may have below!

Let me know if you enjoyed this format of trip report.

Until next time, happy snapping,

Luke

MADIKWE SAFARI

It’s often thought that it is simply not possible for one safari destination to “have it all” and perhaps this statement is indeed true. That said, the diverse and wildly dynamic fauna and flora of Madikwe Game Reserve is about as close as it gets.

MADIKWE & MARATABA

Guests joining us for this unique safari experience will have first-hand experience on what the conservation of wildlife involve while enjoying your normal day-to-day safari.

Fab reminder of a wonderful week Luke! Thanks so much for your guidance & tips. ‘Shoot & Review’ is what I plan to do from now on, not just fire off shots without checking. I learnt a lot about my camera, with your help.

Jim has replaced his club with real ones now – the ‘sunset stick’ was perfect for the fun shot though!

A wonderful Lodge; knowledgeable & fun Guides, new friends made. A cracking week!

Thanks for a great week, and all your tips for shooting in the field and editing after. It was a fun week in a lovely area, plus making new friends, what more could you ask for. A bonus was being able to relax on the deck and see the comings and goings of wild life, which was pretty much constant, giving us even more opportunity to practise with the new settings I was learning. Thanks for the sun set shots, they will certainly go in my coffee table book of the trip.

    Until next time.
